My first thought is THANK YOU
Thank you to all those who participated and a BIG THANK YOU to my volunteers. Without, this event does not happen.
This year, there were a total of 64 participants. Not as many as last year, but still a good turn out.
Pre-calculations are showing that we raised over $500 for LLS.
Looking forward to 2013, preliminary date is looking to be Sunday, Sept. 29th 2013. Look for registration forms to start showing up in your mail boxes in July/August.
Thank you again to all those who came to participate and volunteered!!!

5 days and counting.....
Morning!!!
We are just 5 days away from this years Run/Walk event!!
Goody bags are set to be stuffed, water and gatorade are ready, volunteers are emailed, and the air is cool, great for running!
Items you will find in your goody bag this year include a car sticker with the ALL for a cure logo, items from the Kenosha News, Skeleton Skamper registration form, granola bar, Park High School items, and much more!!
Race signs will be done tonight and balloons will be set by Thursday morning!

10 days and counting....
Only 10 more days until the 2012 Run/Walk event!!!
I have been busy getting last minute things together. Goody bags will be stuffed on the 27th, water, fruit, and gatorade get picked up on the 28th, and final touches will be put together later this week.
Added to this years event, there will be a door prizes and a 50/50 raffle (tickets $1 ea or $5 for 6).
Door prize items:
Chocolates from Ghiradelli
Water bottles
Assorted gift cards (Jockey, Sub Way, Sandy's Popper, Wal-Mart, and BP)
Jelly Belly's

Location: Simmons Island Park
Time: 6am: race day registration/packet pickup opens
8am: 4 mile / 2 mile event starts
8:15am: kids race starts
Prizes: Medal given to top finisher for both male and female for the following age divisions:
17-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+
Cost: $15 for either 4 mile run or 2 mile walk
Kids race is free (12 and under)
